Seasonal Enzyme Spotlight: Blackberry!

Here at Thérapie Day Spa, we believe not only in the benefits of seasonal eating, but in seasonal skincare! We love to incorporate seasonal enzymes into our Antioxidant Thérapie Facial to provide you with fresh, glowing skin. Read on to learn more about the wonderful benefits of our Blackberry Enzyme.

A few thoughts about blackberries:

Antioxidants have earned their place in the skincare world because of their ability to slow signs of aging, such as issues with loss elasticity and collagen (the bounce and firmness of the skin). Although this is a natural occurrence of maturing skin, we can use antioxidants, such as blackberry, to stop free radicals in their tracks! The Blackberry Enzyme Mask at Thérapie Day Spa has a high ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) value, meaning that the free radical damage is neutralized at a high rate – similar to that of blueberries. Another age-fighting ingredient in this super fruit mask is Hibiscus Flower. Hibiscus Flower is a gentle alternative to AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) that also performs as an antioxidant. It will exfoliate the skin while stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis to create a firm appearance. It will also help those with an oily complexion and tendency for clogged pores.

At Thérapie Day Spa, our Blackberry Enzyme Mask also contains 5% Mandelic Acid which is incorporated in this mask for its gentle exfoliation of the skin. Mandelic Acid is derived from almonds and works its magic on fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and congestion. This acid is also safe enough for sensitive skin types. If that's not enough, Fig and Pineapple enzymes will work to dissolve dead skin cells on the surface, revealing a fresh, smooth complexion. Add a little mandarin orange oil and your skin will thank you not only for the wonderful sensory experience of the this season's Antioxidant Thérapie Facial, but for all the amazing antioxidant and anti-aging benefits it provides.
